This is bonded, egg laying Catalina Macaw pair, Vinnie & Vanessa.
Vinnie is the handsome fella with the yellow epaulettes, and Vanessa the beautiful gal with the light colored scalloping on her back. Neither one is the least bit tame. They both were raised to be breeders. If they were even a wee bit tame, I would take them inside and photograph them on a perch so you could get a better look at them. They are pretty squirrelly, and won't stay still for a picture. Both are large, extremely beautiful birds that are not related. Vanessa is a dominatrix, and Vinnie who adores her, just flows with the punches. As you can see, they are flawless and remain unruffled by the show. Vinnie is quite the gentleman, at least to her. Just don't get too close to the cage cause he is like a snapping turtle. Both bite, with intent to puncture, just not each other.
They both are GORGEOUS, though, and I enjoy them just the way they are.
